A 21 feet Christmas Tree of steel adorned with multi-colored lights standing at the entrance of Camella Northpoint will greet passersby along J.P. Laurel Avenue. The giant Christmas Tree, which was unveiled and lighted on December 5 is now a favorite sight. The structure carries the developer’s theme “Camella Northpoint Christmas Wonderland”. On the ground of the structure were life sized figures carved from Styrofoam and plastic gift boxes. Camella Northpoint logo was stripped off from its original colors brown and blue and now sporting a red and white striped effect. Giant candy canes surround the entire entrance gate of the property. What was once a not- so -busy road is now full of activities with passersby who cannot resist taking photographs of the huge Christmas décor. The sight that costs almost a million is Camella’s way of thanking Davaoeños and the local government for the support extended for their developments here in Davao City. It symbolizes Camella’s growth and continues to dominate in the real estate industry for 15 years now. The lighting of the giant Christmas Tree was simultaneously staged in the areas of Metro Manila, Pampanga, Iloilo City, and Davao City. Completing the effect is the Christmas logos printed in tarps on the side of the entrance. Prior to the lighting ceremony, the property also conducted the lighting ceremony of Camella’s first gate last December 3. The gate is completed with Christmas decorations, lights, and a giant Christmas tree all worth around P2 million. The giant tree and the gate as well as the entire development is being targeted by the developer to be another Christmas destination in Davao City. Camella Northpoint is the first vertical development of Camella Communities Davao, a subsidiary of the largest homebuilder in the country, Vista Land and Lifescapes. “We transformed over the years and has become a holistic company covering low cost to high end markets,” said Marlon Escalicas, Camella Communities Davao manager. |
