Jack’s Ridge launches
five Davao icons

Everybody’s favorite Pomelo, the popular Philippine Eagle, majestic Mt. Apo, king of fruits Durian, and the unique Waling-Waling-the five icons describing Davao City now inhabit at Jack’s Ridge Resort and Restaurant.

Launched on December 5, coinciding the 10th anniversary celebration of Jack’s Ridge, the five icons are eyed as the city’s new landmark by local artist Lamberto Akyatan. The landmark, which is two years in the making, is made up of epoxy and cement.

The icons also indicate a more improved restaurant like the opening of Karlo’s Gourmet and Coffee, a chic restaurant that serves a fusion of French, Italian, and some Mexican dishes. Coffee blends include white chocolate mocha, cappuccino, and house specialty Karlocinno.

Karlo’s carried the name of the younger brother of Maki Mercado, general manager.

Mercado said they overshoot the budget to enhance their service making Jack’s Ridge one of the major destinations here in Davao City.

Jack’s Ridge was built by Maki’s father Jack to offer a completely new experience not only to Davaoeños but foreigners as well. Completing that experience were Kai’s Bar and Grill, BMW Piano Bar, Taklobo Restaurant, Kool Kat’s Pool, Amphitheater, cottages, among others.
